Bob Ney, now disgraced former Republican Congressman, gave almost a half million dollars to his party’s candidates and affiliated organizations. Major Bush-Cheney Campaign donor and prominent Republican Thomas Noe has been convicted and sentenced.
He had pleaded guilty to three charges, including exceeding federal campaign contribution limits, and was sentenced to two years and three months in prison. He was also fined $136,200.
