Quick update on the Belkin story
by Arlen Parsa
Originally Belkin had intended to issue a second statement last week detailing the results of their internal investigation about alleged wrongdoing on behalf of their employees (a story that broke on this blog). I understand that their investigation has gone on longer than expected, but that they still plan to issue a second statement in the near future.
Also, I just wanted to update to say that I’m working on other aspects of the story, although I don’t have anything to publish just yet. In the meantime, check out this interview I did with the E-Commerce Times.

Anyone happen to see this on the New York Times blog today?

It’s happening…
Not trying to predict the future, but here is what Belkin is going to do. They will announce that any employee involved in the scandal has been terminated.
In reality, each employee will be offered over $1 Million to agree to leave and never speak to the media or anyone about what went down.
For if these employees were fired, within the week there would be a lawsuit from them against Belkin saying there were just doing what they were told to do by their bosses.

Thanks for the comments. I’ll blog about that incident right now, TurfBuilders.
Inside sources say the two Belkin employees are currently suspended. I really hope they tell their side of the story. No amount of money is worth having your name dragged thru the mud. I am sure a number of employees there know that this behavior was condoned by upper management. The truth must be told before healing can happen.
Still nothing from Belkin? How long does an investigation take?
Yep, we’re still waiting…
