W…T…F? She can’t even name a news source she reads? If she can’t be honest and transparent about this simple a thing, how can we expect her to be honest and transparent about issues that actually matter if she becomes Vice President?

The Stock Market is now lower than it was at the start of the Bush Administration, in the largest single-day plunge for more than a decade. This, amidst the largest government bailout plan in history.
John McCain’s recent inane proclamation that “The fundamentals of our economy are still strong” will go down in infamy as the […]

Well, I watched the debate and I’m not sure much changed. McCain, who had as Ricky Ricardo from “I Love Lucy” would say, some ’splainin’ to do about his silly campaign suspension, didn’t really address it.
Obama had a couple of good hits, including the “bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran” thing, and McCain kept saying […]

The MSNBC and CNN websites are the only places you can watch the debate online, as far as I know of.
It starts at 9PM, EST and will consist of 9 different 9 minute segments (so roughly 90 minutes plus commercial and station breaks) moderated by veteran general election debate-mod PBS’ Jim Lehrer.
The first half of […]

A pathetic end to an even more pathetic stunt:
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) ended three days of suspense on Friday morning and announced that he will leave bailout negotiations in Washington and fly to Oxford, Miss., for the opening presidential debate.
McCain had previously said that he would suspend his campaign until an agreement was reached on […]

So, John McCain “suspended” his campaign because the economy sucks and he wants to spend more time on it as a Senator.
It’s obviously just a carefully calculated political move, but it really begs the question:
If a guy can’t run a presidential campaign and manage economic issues as a Senator (and not even a committee chair […]

This economic bailout situation is, I suspect, confusing to a lot of people. As evidence of this, I’ll point out that even the polls on it are confusing.
According to the latest LAT/Bloomberg poll, Americans oppose government bailouts:
Americans oppose government rescues of ailing financial companies by a decisive margin, and blame Wall Street and President George […]

Stolen shamelessly from Brad:
Dear American:
I need to ask you to support an urgent secret business relationship with a transfer of funds of great magnitude.
I am Ministry of the Treasury of the Republic of America. My country has had crisis that has caused the need for large transfer of funds of 800 billion USD. If you […]

New data from the oft-flawed New Hampshire-based ARG pollsters.
Bush’s approval rating, according to them, is just 19%.
(However, they ask the job approval question after asking all sorts of other questions about the economy, which skews their results to be disproportionately negative.)

Again, I ask, why is it that some of the best ads of this cycle come from ordinary YouTube users and not the campaigns?
