With Hillary Clinton’s speech last night and Bill Clinton’s speech tonight, the two made it clear that 2008 is not 1980, and a divisive Democratic presidential party will not get in the way of victory in November.

It’ll be interesting to see who gets more attention: the Democratic ticket on Friday, or John McCain’s announcement of a running mate…

Hillary Clinton’s speech to the Democratic National Convention was extraordinarily well delivered and extraordinarily well received. When the speech started, wide pans of the convention floor made it seem like every delegate was waving a white Hillary Clinton sign.
But as the speech went on, and Hillary talked more of reconciliation and no hard feelings, and […]
Late last night, I posted the best of the Democratic National Convention video. What does the DNC have in store for us tonight? Here’s Tuesday’s schedule.
Also, just for fun, here’s a video of Chris Matthews interviewing some Clinton supporters who seem to think that Obama is or has been a Muslim (and that that’s a […]
Here are the moments that stood out tonight. Michelle’s speech was my favorite, with the Ted Kennedy tribute video being a close second.

Michelle Obama, introduced by her brother Craig Robinson, took the stage after a long sustained standing ovation tonight at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. The goal of the appearance was to re-introduce Michele to the electorate, and reassure voters that she shares American values.
Her speech focused on the struggles of working class Americans. “I […]
Ted Kennedy, suffering from brain cancer, made a surprise appearance at the DNCC tonight. This is Kennedy’s second high profile occasion after his diagnosis, after appearing in the US Senate for an important vote earlier this summer.
Kennedy’s appearance, alongside his wife followed the introduction of a seven minute video tribute by his niece, Caroline Kennedy. […]
Details to come…
Four years ago, many of those who attended the Republican National Convention wore bandaids on their faces to mock John Kerry’s heroic service to his country. This year, some Democratic National Convention attendees are reportedly sporting buttons like these:
The rumors say yes, his spokespeople say it’s unlikely. Ted Kennedy is reportedly in Denver however, and wants to speak, health permitting. A surprise appearance during primetime would be quite the event however. His PAC sends out this brief email urging viewers to tune in, which may be a hint:
Dear Arlen,
Tonight in Denver, at about […]
The netroots are big fans of Howard Dean’s 50 state strategy, but was I the only one who noticed the 50 state tie he’s wearing today?
A lot of us, like myself, don’t have cable and thus can’t flip on CNN or MSNBC for all-day Democratic National Convention coverage on television. Luckily, we’ve come a long way since 2004 when live streaming web video of events like this was in its infancy.
CNN (stream here; Flash player required) will have streaming video […]
Here’s a video the Obama campaign put up on its YouTube account of Biden introducing himself to the campaign after yesterday’s appearance in Springfield.
Now that Obama is going to be Vice President, who will be Obama’s Secretary of State?
