Biden Says it’s Not Him
The Hotline reports:

As Joe Biden left his home a few minutes ago with golf clubs, NBC/NJ’s Mike Memoli asked him where he was going to be on Saturday.

Biden replied, “Here” and pointed down to his driveway.

As he pulled out of the driveway in the driver’s seat of his car, he said to the press gathered near his gate: “You guys have better things to do. I’m not the guy.”

Sounds pretty absolute to me. Sorry, Howard Fineman

Springfield to host first Obama-VP joint appearance?
Marc Ambinder reports, and CBS News confirms:

It’s now official: Barack Obama’s first appearance with his will appear with his vice presidential choice will be in Springfield, Illinois, at noon CST on Saturday, according to an Obama aide.

I’m fairly certain it’ll be his first appearance with the pick, but not 100% sure.

That means that the official announcement will probably come the night before in the form of a text message to supporters. Maybe it’ll come that morning.

CBS News confirms that this will be the first joint appearance: “CBS News has confirmed that Barack Obama’s campaign now plans to announce Obama’s vice presidential choice to supporters via email and text message on Friday afternoon. (This plan could change, of course.)”

Sebelius Rising?
As readers know, I’m still holding out for Governor Kathleen Sebelius as Obama’s running-mate.

Some site called Tribble Ad Agency (which I’ve never heard of but which seems to be a marketing industry news source) is claiming that Obama’s campaign owns ObamaSebelius.com and that an ad agency is prepping Obama-Sebelius related advertising.

I don’t really buy it, given that Obama has his own in-house web team as far as I know, and the domain in question was registered in early 2007. Of course, that is when Obama announced his bid for president, and I have it on good authority that he was considering Sebelius as a possible running mate as early as last year…

Also: the Huffington Post today wonders what’s up with the lack of Sebelius speculation.
