Obama’s speech drew 200,000 in Germany

20,000 showed up for President Regan’s speech to Berlin in 1987.

120,000 showed up for President Kennedy’s speech to Berlin in 1963.

“At least” 200,000 showed up for Candidate Obama’s speech to Berlin today, according to local police estimates (the largest is campaign has drawn domestically is about 75K).

“Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen — a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world,” Obama said. “I know that I don’t look like the Americans who’ve previously spoken in this great city.”

The speech, which lasted 27 minutes, was interrupted by applause 30 times.
