Clinton caught on tape shamelessly bashing Democratic Party activists
by Arlen Parsa
So, days after Hillary Clinton (the candidate who has taken more money than anybody else in the race from Big Oil and Big Pharma lobbyists) accuses Barack Obama for being “elitist” and “out of touch,” a secret recording comes out revealing that she blasted the activist base of the Democratic Party at a closed door fundraiser.
According to the recording, Clinton said to her big dollar donors:
“Moveon.org endorsed [Sen. Barack Obama] — which is like a gusher of money that never seems to slow down,” Clinton said to a meeting of donors. “We have been less successful in caucuses because it brings out the activist base of the Democratic Party. MoveOn didn’t even want us to go into Afghanistan. I mean, that’s what we’re dealing with. And you know they turn out in great numbers. And they are very driven by their view of our positions, and It’s primarily national security and foreign policy that drives them. I don’t agree with them. They know I don’t agree with them. So they flood into these caucuses and dominate them and really intimidate people who actually show up to support me.”
Of course, Clinton is totally wrong on the facts: MoveOn never opposed the NATO invasion of Afghanistan and the group was, after all, founded to try and move past Bill Clinton’s impeachment so that other priorities of his Administration could be focused on.
Howard Wolfson, Mark Penn’s best buddy and Clinton’s spin-meister communications director has said in defense of Clinton’s remarks that “There have been well documented instances of intimidation in the Nevada and the Texas caucuses, and it is a fact that while we have won 4 of the 5 largest primaries, where participation is greatest, Senator Obama has done better in caucuses than we have.” Of course he’s also wrong on his facts: MoveOn didn’t endorse Clinton until after the Nevada caucuses and when Clinton said what she said at this closed door fundraiser the Texas caucuses hadn’t even taken place yet.
Way to unscrupulously and untruthfully trash the activist base of the party, guys. Really, heckuvajob.
Meanwhile, Obama and his activists draw the biggest crowd of the campaign: 35,000-40,000 in Pennsylvania.
The Daily Background

hi nice post, i enjoyed it
So, What’s new? When Hillary can’t seem to tell the truth and starts loosing clout, she starts blamming everyone else-
Obama, the news media and now the Democratic Party. Logically thinking people can see through her, and that she is only interested in her own personal gain. Isn’t that the usual Clinton strategy?
