Video- McCain’s real record on MLK day

I think the DNC is being far too harsh on McCain in this web video. After all, the guy is what, 101 years old? To him, 11 years probably is a very short period of time.

Inching closer

Obama creeps closer to his May 6th goal of 1.5M unique donors:

This message, sent by email by the campaign, probably won’t help either:
Next week, we have the opportunity to close out this race and secure the nomination for Barack — but there’s another deadline coming up even sooner.
Financial reports for April will be filed this […]

Clinton donors defect to Obama

Elite. Not Elitist.

Filed at 8:08 am, Saturday April 26th 2008
by Arlen Parsa

A local Indiana reporter asks Obama if he’s elitist:

The question came from a local reporter, who said he’s been looking like the “GQ candidate.” And in the wake of the “bitter” controversy, which prompted his opponents to label him an elitist, the timing of the question was particularly poignant.
Obama launched into a long diatribe listing […]

Quickest superdelegate endorsement ever?

Superdelegate/Rep. David Wu (D-OR) announced his support for Barack Obama, citing his ability to make real change. Wu: “I believe that he is best suited to turn the page on this sorry episode in American history. He and I both had the judgment to oppose the Iraq War from the very beginning.”
Wu […]

More on Clinton and Iran

Three Clinton aides have claimed that Hillary did not suggest she would nuke Iran, even though she herself has said “Their [Iran’s] use of nuclear weapons against Israel would provoke a nuclear response from the United States.” What, besides nuking a country, is a “nuclear response”?
Matt Stoller of Open Left adds:

A massive new security commitment […]

Pre and post PA delegate counts

Okay so Clinton won Pennsylvania by about ten points last night- 55% to Obama’s 45%. There were 158 pledged delegates tied to the vote in the state, and going off of NBC News’ delegate count, Obama has picked up 65 of them to Clinton’s 75 (they have yet to allocate 18 delegates).
Pre-PA NBC News Delegate […]

PA predictions anyone?

Any projections on how many delegates Clinton will pick up tonight?
A few weeks ago, Obama’s camp considered any loss within 10 percentage points a win for them but will they meet that 55%-45% threshold?

The latest PA polls

Well, today is the day of the Pennsylvania Democratic primary. It seems certain that Clinton will win it, the only question is by how many percentage points. Here’s a look at what the latest polling indicates:

Clinton on an attack on Iran: “I’m the president, we will attack Iran…we would be able to totally obliterate them”

Vile:

Clinton further displayed tough talk in an interview airing on “Good Morning America” Tuesday. ABC News’ Chris Cuomo asked Clinton what she would do if Iran attacked Israel with nuclear weapons.
“I want the Iranians to know that if I’m the president, we will attack Iran,” Clinton said. “In the next 10 years, during which they […]

Pollster: Bush hits 22% approval nationwide

ARG claims Bush’s national approval rating is at a new low: 22%.
Of course the New Hampshire-based pollster American Research Group is known for producing often unreliable outlier polls. Specifically, I’ve heard that the way they do Bush’s approval rating is skewed towards negative because they ask respondents about the economy first, then ask questions about […]

March fundraising: Obama raises $51M, Clinton raises $20M (but with $10M in debt) and McCain raises $11M

Clinton reported raising about $20 million in March and had about $8 million for the primary available at the beginning of […]

Talk about hypocrisy

Hillary Clinton, March 2008:

“I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House, I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience that he will bring to the White House, and Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002.”

“[McCain has] never been president, but he will put […]

Clinton caught on tape shamelessly bashing Democratic Party activists

So, days after Hillary Clinton (the candidate who has taken more money than anybody else in the race from Big Oil and Big Pharma lobbyists) accuses Barack Obama for being “elitist” and “out of touch,” a secret recording comes out revealing that she blasted the activist base of the Democratic Party at a closed door […]

What earthquake?

No, I did not feel that 5.2 magnitude earthquake that everybody else in Chicago supposedly felt last night. Sorry to disappoint– I was sound asleep. Then again, I can sleep through a lot. There’s no reported damage in the area though, as the earthquake was apparently quite a bit south of downtown.
