I was going to pull out some Rove quotes from early 2006 and contrast them with Bush’s new predictions, but Senate Guru beat me to it:
George W. Bush on June 14, 2006:
I feel confident we will hold the House and the Senate.
George W. Bush on February 25, 2008:
[…]

Although Barack Obama has already won the Connecticut primary, Chris Dodd (D-CT) will actively campaign on behalf of the Illinois Senator in Ohio before its March 4th primary.
Dodd also called Clinton last night to inform her of his endorsement. He described the conversation as “not comfortable.”

The Associated Press reports that Obama picks up another high profile super delegate endorsement (hat tip- Think on These Things):
Democratic Sen. Christopher Dodd of Connecticut plans to endorse former presidential rival Barack Obama.
Dodd will endorse his colleague, a senator from Illinois, in Cleveland on Tuesday, according to a Democratic official close to Dodd who requested […]

… And I thought he was concentrating on just getting re-elected in his Texas Congressional district?
And this is from Ron Paul, the candidate who once said:
“I think our problem with immigration comes from the fact that we have a weak economy and immigrants are scapegoats and if we had a healthy economy, and we weren’t […]

Again?
Despite the backlash against President Clinton when he compared the candidacy of Sen. Barack Obama to that of Rev. Jesse Jackson after the South Carolina primary, a top Clinton adviser evoked that comparison again today.
Long-time Democratic National Committee member Harold Ickes, who served as deputy chief of staff for President Clinton and is a top […]

I don’t even know what to say to this, other than to ask if it’s really any different substantively than the Muslim smear or the “Obama won’t recite the pledge of allegiance” smear. Drudge:
CLINTON STAFFERS CIRCULATE ‘DRESSED’ OBAMA

With a week to go until the Texas and Ohio primaries, stressed Clinton […]

Hillary Clinton recently said “Shame on you, Barack Obama!” because one of his campaign’s direct mail items in Ohio quoted Newsday which said she felt NAFTA wold be a boon to US workers. True– she didn’t actually use the word “boon” itself– that was Newsday’s characterization of her feelings about it.
Hillary Clinton said on February […]

It is becoming increasingly obvious that on important issues, Hillary Clinton doesn’t get it right the first time around. Barack Obama seems to get these issues right the first time.
For example, Hillary Clinton voted against the Levin Amendment which called for more diplomacy, and instead gave George Bush and Dick Cheney the benefit of the […]

One of the things you learn as a documentary film student early on is to always advise your subject not to wear stripped clothing, because of the difficulty that video has in digesting horizontal or vertical lines that are packed closely together (this does not happen with film because celluloid has an organic grain to […]

Remember way back much of the Kennedy family endorsed Obama? The Clinton campaign’s response was to roll out the endorsement of a lesser known Kennedy, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (pictured above far right), RFK’s daughter and an unsuccessful Gubernatorial candidate in Maryland. They trumpeted her support as a big deal and evidence that the family was […]

Congressman Jack Kingston (R-Georgia) made the following claim on Real Time Friday night:
REP KINGSTON: We have not had a domestic attack since 9/11… I know as a member of the Defense Committee who sits in many many hours of bipartisan hearings with lots of tough questions to lots of members of the military prior to […]

I’ve never seen Hillary this mad at anybody, ever. Not president Bush, not Republicans, not anyone. She just comes off as pissed at Obama.
A bit of background. This was at a press conference today in which Clinton criticized Obama for sending out two direct mail pieces in Ohio (which she is waving around), one which […]

The Nation reports that Senator Russ Feingold was one of the 646,000 cheeseheads who voted for Obama last Tuesday:
Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold, a progressive icon who briefly considered seeking the Democratic presidential nomination himself, said he voted in Tuesday’s Wisconsin primary for Barack Obama.
Asked directly about his choice, Feingold answered directly.
“I voted for Barack Obama,” […]

Mark Ambinder/The Atlantic: “Barack Obama is on track to raise more than 50M this month, if outside projections and outside advisers to the campaign are correct.” (Needless to say, this would set a new record. Obama would be a fool to accept government-only fundraising for the general election.)
The Hill: “Michael Moore says insurance industry would […]

Hillary Clinton, before winning the Michigan and Florida primaries:
“It’s clear, this election they’re having is not going to count for anything.”
Hillary Clinton, present day, while trailing Obama by anywhere between 70 and 150 overall delegates according to various tallies:
Evan Smith: There’s been a lot of talk about what your campaign would do should it get […]
