I was going to pull out some Rove quotes from early 2006 and contrast them with Bush’s new predictions, but Senate Guru beat me to it:

George W. Bush on June 14, 2006:

I feel confident we will hold the House and the Senate.

George W. Bush on February 25, 2008:

I’m confident we’ll hold the White House in 2008.

You have to like those odds.
