… And I thought he was concentrating on just getting re-elected in his Texas Congressional district?

And this is from Ron Paul, the candidate who once said:

“I think our problem with immigration comes from the fact that we have a weak economy and immigrants are scapegoats and if we had a healthy economy, and we weren’t worrying about our jobs, and we weren’t worrying about the downturn in our economy, I think immigration wouldn’t be nearly a problem as it is… I think if we had a healthy economy, the immigrants would be much more welcome.”

  1. I don’t agree with the picture, however what he says is quite true. We wouldn’t have a problem with the illegal immigrants taking jobs (did we have a problem in the mid 90’s?) if our economy was healthy and everyone had the opportunity for a good job.
