What I’m reading [Feb 22]

Mark Ambinder/The Atlantic: “Barack Obama is on track to raise more than 50M this month, if outside projections and outside advisers to the campaign are correct.” (Needless to say, this would set a new record. Obama would be a fool to accept government-only fundraising for the general election.)

The Hill: “Michael Moore says insurance industry would love Clinton’s healthcare plan” (Moore saves some criticism for Obama as well, but lauds his position that if he were starting from scratch, he’d go with single payer health care)

HRCin08: Another truly awful viral video from Clinton fans. (Wow, just wow.)

Prose Before Hos:Fox News asks “Who is Usama Rooting For?” (Really? Really?)

Pollster.com: The polls in Texas tighten considerably. (Where will the polls be in another week and a half?)

NY Post: Clinton spent $95,000 on catering in Iowa and still owes bills in the state. (I wonder how that money could have been better spent?)

Glenn Smith/MyDD: Pledged delegates “are apportioned by state senate district, based upon turnout in the two previous election cycles. Because Hispanic turnout in 2004 and 2006 was way down, a costly turn of events for Democrats, Hispanic-heavy senate districts don’t get as many delegates. The system is intended to reward participation in elections.” (Interesting. This gives us an idea why the delegate allocation system in Texas is favorable to Obama.)

  1. It always disappoints me when I see progressive bloggers linking to an overtly sexist site like Prose Before Hos.

  2. Natasha,

I didn’t see anything sexist in the post I linked to, but I can understand how the name of that blog could be offensive to people.
