Democratic response by Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius…

My stream of Sebelius’s response cut out halfway through so this liveblog is really incomplete.

Full speech text

Sebelius echoes Obama’s overtures of unity, saying “In this time, normally reserved for the partisan response, I hope to offer you something more: An American Response.”

Also is critical of typical media coverage given to SOTUs:

In fact, right now, tonight, as political pundits discuss the President’s speech - chances are, they’ll obsess over the reactions of Members of Congress.

“How many times was the President interrupted by applause? Did Republicans stand? Did Democrats sit?”

And the rest of us will roll our eyes and think, “What in the world does any of that have to do with me?”

Ends with “Thank you for listening. God bless and sleep well. And in the morning, let’s get to work.”

Update: Sebelius is panned as being mild and boring by MyDD. Yeah, what I saw of it was a little on the dull side (then again, so was Bush’s speech this year).
