A few months ago, we bid farewell to Tony Blair when he resigned. And that was satisfying. Blair though was a moderate. What’s perhaps even more satisfying however is watching Australian Prime Minister John Howard get the boot at the hands of his own constituents:

Australian Prime Minister John Howard suffered a humiliating defeat in national […]

A 9-year-old boy looking for help after his mother crashed their van in the southern Arizona desert was rescued by a man entering the U.S. illegally, who stayed with him until help arrived the next day, an official said.
The 45-year-old woman, who eventually died while awaiting help, had been […]

Senate holds another quickie session to frustrate Bush

USA Today reveals that the Pentagon somehow neglected to include 20,000 brain injuries among the list of soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. How do they manage to simply forget that many people?

At least 20,000 U.S. troops who were not classified as wounded during combat in Iraq and Afghanistan have been found with signs […]

Bush on Musharraf:

President Bush yesterday offered his strongest support of embattled Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, saying the general “hasn’t crossed the line” and “truly is somebody who believes in democracy.”
Bush spoke nearly three weeks after Musharraf declared emergency rule, sacked members of the Supreme Court and began […]

I signed up for Yahoo! Answers tonight, and I think I’m already addicted to answering people’s questions. Every now and then, I come across one like this (from a Ron Paul supporter) that I just don’t even know where to start on:

will anyone else consider the idea that there is no difference whatsoever between democrats […]

This is cute. Romney suggests a voter tune into Fox News:

Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney was campaigning in Washington, Iowa Wednesday when he got an off beat question from one woman in the crowd.
“How do we gag the newspapers …” she asked, speaking so quietly the second half of her question couldn’t be understood. But […]

You know what I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving? I’m thankful that we only have 424 days until we get a Democrat in the White House and a flood of more Democrats in House and the Senate.
That’s what I’m thankful for. Their time is almost over.

I’ll be traveling home to NH today, so no blogging until I get there.
Update: Back. The flight was so-so. I slept for most of it, until the lady sitting next to me decided that my lap would look better if it was covered with her Sprite, so that woke me up pretty fast.
