Kucinich would consider Ron Paul as a running-mate?
by Arlen Parsa
At the end of this video from the spin room at the Democratic debate in Nevada recently comes this exchange:
BLOGGER: Do you believe that your husband would ever give consideration to possibly running as a running-mate to say a candidate like Ron Paul? Obviously you can’t say anything now…
ELIZABETH KUCINICH: I think he’d take it under consideration. Absolutely. Ron Paul is a great truth teller as well… I think that there could be some bipartisan movement going on there.
Really, Elizabeth? Really? Kucinich would consider having Ron Paul as a running-mate, or running as Paul’s VP? Kucinich and Paul disagree on virtually every domestic policy issue from abortion to health care.
Kucinich, who supports single payer “Medicare for everyone” health care, would consider sharing a ticket with a candidate who, in his private medical practice, has consistently refused to accept Medicare and Medicaid as forms of payment? Paul is staunchly against a women’s right to abortion (rated zero percent by NARAL) and Kucinich is staunchly in favor of keeping abortion legal (rated 100% by NARAL).
