Larry Craig’s logic: I’m a liar, take my word for it.

Embattled Senator Larry Craig is now, of course, denying that he’s gay or that he did anything the police say he did, or anything the affidavit he signed said he did.

It just occurred to me that his basic argument now is “I was lying then” when I pled guilty, but now he’s telling the truth now. Which is kind of funny logic (”I lied to the Justice system before, but now I’m telling people the truth, so you’ve got to trust me”). Does it make sense that people should trust somebody who says they’ve already lied about this exact incident in the past?
