From the Department of Non-Response Response
by Arlen Parsa
On June 18th, about the time that Brave New Films teamed up with SLDN to start the Lift The Ban campaign (in support of the anti-Don’t Ask Don’t Tell bill called the Military Readiness Act of 2007), I filled out their petition urging my Congressman and Senators to support the measure in order to allow gays and lesbians to serve honestly honorably in the military (and also encouraged readers to sign it as well).
One day later, I got a response from my Congressman Paul Hodes (D-NH, who I’m fairly sure supports repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell) via email. More than a month later, I got a response from one of my Senators Judd Gregg (R-NH) in the mail. I’m still waiting on a response from my other Senator John Sununu (R-NH, up for re-election in 2008 and considered very vulnerable). Here’s Gregg’s non-response response:

At least Gregg signed the letter himself. Sign the anti-discrimination petition yourself, and get a non-response response of your own from your Senators, unless of course their name happens to be John Sununu, in which case they apparently don’t think it’s worth it to respond to their constituents.
The Daily Background

[…] Update: Actually, upon reflection, my statement about him being the first member of congress addressing me might not be true, if you count letters from Senators. […]
