| CNN/YouTube debate shattered ratings record… Will the GOP debate attract as many viewers?

CNN is now saying that their YouTube debate garnered the highest viewership in the coveted 18-34 year old demographic in cable news history. Did people tune in because it was something new? Will they tune in just as much for the Republican debate in September, or will the viewership drop off?
In June, when CNN held both Democratic and Republican debates, the Democratic one got significantly higher ratings than the GOP debate, even breaking a record.
Update: CNN now clarifies that this ratings record is for primary debates only.
