William Kristol writes in the Post today that he “likes the odds” of Bush being remembered as a successful President. He also says, amazingly:
“It would help if the administration would make its case more effectively and less apologetically. It would help if Bush had more aides who believed in his policy, who understood that the war is winnable and who didn’t desperately want to get back in (or stay in) the good graces of the foreign policy establishment.”
Will somebody please tell me what planet this man is on? What planet is Kristol on that Bush, a man who cannot even name mistakes he has made, is too apologetic? And what planet is he on where Bush doesn’t surround himself with aides who already agree 100% with him?
