A reader named Carlson writes in to update us on the “Giuliani- Real Balls” mock advertisement that I posted last a couple of days ago:

I saw you posted the “Real Balls” ad
last week. I did
some sleuthing on MySpace and there’s some woman there who’s been pushing the clip on some of the conservative MS groups. Turns out that she got it posted on the comments section of the Official Giuliani page. Not only did they let the post stay up there (they have to approve html code for their comments section), but they even sent her a comment back that they loved it!! So whether it was official before or not, it is now! Check it out.

Of course, it still doesn’t answer the question of who
really put it up there, but that kind of doesn’t
matter.

As a side note, I noticed that the MySpace page referenced above is from somebody who describes themselves as a “Media Manager/Editor” whose interests are advertising/PR and media planning. Carlson continues on to say that there’s a sequel to the original mock ad, this time about Mitt Romney:

Ten cents says this turns into a sequel about all the candidates.
