The Daily Background

Last night (Tuesday), the first Bush Administration cabinet-member ever appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (previously aides such as former White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card have appeared on the program however). Margaret Spellings, the Secretary of Education took the plunge that no other official in the entire executive branch was willing to take. Playing the role of student to teacher, Jon gave her an apple.
