The Daily Brief- Tuesday

MoveOn forum
From a media advisory:
“On Tuesday, April 10th at 7:15pm Eastern, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, Bill Richardson, Dennis Kucinich, and Joe Biden will answer questions from MoveOn.org’s 3.2 million members in the first of three unprecedented virtual town hall meetings. Topic: Iraq.
“This virtual town hall is real people-powered politics. MoveOn members wrote the questions, voted for the ones they like best, and will ask the candidates questions on the most important issue of our time — Iraq. At house parties across the nation, voters will listen–and afterward, will vote for whose position they prefer. Don’t miss the big event. Sign up for a reminder email today!”
Participate online tonight at MoveOn’s website. Note that Richardson’s appearance is pre-taped since he’ll be in North Korea getting all diplomatic and retrieving remains of US soldiers from the Korean War.
Senate
The Senate will return from Easter recess today to continue deliberations on a Senate version of the House’s stem cell research bill which passed overwhelmingly in the First 100 Hours.
Kerry-Gingrich, Gingrich-Kerry
10:00-12:000 EST: Also Senate related, Gingrich and Kerry will “debate” about global climate change. Kerry and his wife came out with a book about the environment recently and Gingrich will be publishing an environmental book of his own in November titled “A Contract With the Earth” (does the man have anything other than contracts?!).
Rumor has it Gingrich actually be pro-environment but all up in Kerry’s grill with pro-business green solutions while Kerry will be all up in Gingrich’s grill with the types of individual-based solutions his book is about. At least the two won’t be arguing over whether global warming is actually happening though.
House
The House will return on April 16th, no matter what the gentleman from Kentucky wants (that’s Mitch McConnell for those of you playing the home game).
