Clinton raised $26M in 1st Q
by Arlen Parsa
Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign announced today it has raised $26 million in the first quarter of 2007. $4.2 million of that was raised on the Internet.
The campaign will actually report $36 million in fundraising because of a transfer to her presidential account of the $10 million that was left in her Senate campaign account after her re-election last fall. Because those dollars were raised under the federal campaign finance laws, the $10 million is completely transferable to her presidential campaign account.
Keep in mind, the only number that matters is the $26M that she raised this quarter, which is right in the middle of expectations. Full press release here. The big question now is how much Obama’s camp will announce they’ve raised this quarter.
