Bad move, Senator Clinton

Uhhhhhhhh… I think this needs some attention: The day after Tom Vilsack endorses Hillary Clinton, she announces that she’ll help raise $400,000 for him in order to get rid of his campaign debt. No seriously, what the hell?! This is more than a little bit odd, to say the least.

To say a bit more, this is not the type of behavior that any 2008 Democrat should be doing right now. Whether it’s actually a quid pro quo (Wikipdia definition) for his endorsement or not, it sure looks bad.

And let’s take it with context: political analysts say that Vilsack would be a great VP choice for Clinton, because he’s a moderate old white male who used to be a governor of a midwestern state (not to say that Clinton isn’t moderate herself, but somebody with Obama’s politics say wouldn’t be a good choice for VP because she’s so polarizing already that she needs a second moderate person on the ballot).
