The Onion had a hilarious satire piece last week about how Rudy Giuliani has no credibility on any issues other than 9/11.
At a well-attended rally in front of his new Ground Zero headquarters Monday, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani officially announced his plan to run for president of 9/11.

Sunday afternoon, the press was told that Iraqi President Jalal Talabani had had a heart attack or a stroke, however these reports were disputed by Talabani’s son, who said his blood pressure only went down and he felt dizzy. After Talabani left his country to go to Jordan for treatment, doctors say there is no […]

Libby trial
Will there be a verdict today? With every weekday that goes by, it becomes more and more likely that the verdict will come today.
Or, to put it another way, it is more likely that the verdict will come today than it was on Friday. And it was more likely that the verdict would come […]

Well, tonight is Oscar night. And all the inside-the-beltway pundits, talking head TV news hosts who have no idea what they’re talking about, and quite a few bloggers (to my dismay) have bought into the idea that there is actually a possibility that Al Gore could announce for President if he “wins an Oscar.”
What a […]

John McCain on Ethanol in 1999:
“Ethanol is not worth it. It does not help the consumer. Those ethanol subsidies should be phased out. And everybody here on this stage, if it wasn’t for the fact that Iowa is the first caucus state, would share my view that we don’t need ethanol subsidies. It doesn’t help […]

This is truly strange. The following is the error message you get when you go to Senator Ted “series of tubes” Stevens’ 2008 re-election website, and don’t know their super-secret password:
Through a series of highly sophisticated and complex algorithms, this system has determined that you are not presently authorized to use this system function. It […]
