Dick Cheney is a very sneaky man (or at least he tries to be)
by Arlen Parsa

Oh this just has to be the quote of the day:
“Let me just make one editorial comment here. I’ve seen some press reporting says, ‘Cheney went in to beat up on them, threaten them.’ That’s not the way I work. I don’t know who writes that, or maybe somebody gets it from some source who doesn’t know what I’m doing, or isn’t involved in it. But the idea that I’d go in and threaten someone is an invalid misreading of the way I do business
[…]
The reason the president wanted me to come, obviously, is because of the continuing threat that exists in this part of the world on both sides of the Afghan-Pakistan border…”
– An anonymous “senior White House official” speaking to reporters on background about the motivation for Vice President Cheney’s meeting with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, sometime in the last 72 hours.
Or at least that’s how Vice President Cheney wanted to be identified, until an official White House transcript was released with his first person tense intact (”That’s not how I work…” “The reason the President wanted me to come…” etc), revealing his identity.
