Did you know that…?

Some interesting polls have been done lately. Did you know that…
… 90% of Britons believe their country has become more selfish under Prime Minister Tony Blair?
…. 61% of Americans believe that Anna Nicole Smith’s death received too much media coverage?
… More Americans than ever (52%) believe America is “losing ground” against environmental pollution.
… 52% of Americans have no idea whether John McCain is in favor of keeping abortion legal or not? (12% are incorrectly under the impression that he is pro-choice).
When a polling firm recently asked 704 respondents what word they would use to describe the President, they got some interesting results.
From February 2004 until July 2004 until March 2005, the most common word Americans used to describe President Bush was “honest.” Ever since March of 2006 however (the period closest after Hurricane Katrina), the most common word Americans have used to describe President Bush has consistently been “incompetent.”
Here are some other results from the latest iteration of the survey: the second most common word used to describe the President was “arrogant.” (The third was “honest” and the fourth was “good.”)
Other popular words used to describe The Decider were “idiot,” “stupid,” and “ignorant” (if the sums of each of these words were combined into the word “stupid,” as that’s what they all mean, “stupid” would be the single-most popular word used to describe him).
Some of the funnier responses in no particular order: “ass,” “trying,” “unconfident,” “great,” “confused.” One word that 6 respondents used to describe the President was simply “president.”
And perhaps the funniest result of all? 15% of respondents amazingly couldn’t think of a word to describe the President.
