| Justice Scalia’s daughter arrested for driving 3 kids under the influence

Via TalkLeft today: arch-conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s 45 year old daughter was arrested for DUI in a suberb outside of Chicago. Officials won’t release what her blood-alcohol-level was at the time of arrest. She’s been charged with reckless child endangerment as well, because three children were in the vehicle she was driving while allegedly drunk. Released on a “personal recognizance bond” which means that she didn’t pay any money but just promised to show up later when called to. No further details available.
NOT SURPISING AT ALL. SCALIA’S DAUGHTER ARRESTED FOR D.U.I WITH KIDS IN THE CAR AND THE BUSH TWIN’S UNDERAGE DRINKING. THERE ARE TWO SET’S OF LAW’S FOR D.U.I THE EVERYDAY JOE IS PUT THROUGH THE RINGER. THE “SPECIAL KIDS” OF THE ONE’S WHO MAKE THE D.U.I. LAW’S ARE ABOVE THE LAW. ALL OF A SUDDEN, LIKE NICOLE BUSH WRITING HER FAKE PERSCRIPTION’S FOR XANAX BECOMES A PRIVATE FAMILY MATTER. SAME WENT FOR THE BUSH TWINS. BUSH WHEN GOVERNOR OF TEXAS HAD A LAW PUT INTO AFFECT HARSHLEY OF UNDERAGE DRINKERS. BUT HIS DARLING TWINS, THIS LAW DID NOT PERTAIN TO THEM. I’M SICK OF THE DOUBLE STANDARD. WHERE IS M.A.D.D?
Yes it is a double standard of how certain people can get away with breaking the law but on the other hand look at the embassement that they and thier families are going through and Scalia’s daughter will go through hell because when it is all said and done no matter what the punishment is everyon will think she got off easy. She could end up with the max. penalty and fine and everyone will think she got special treatment or if the DA offers a deal that anyother citizen would be offered everyone will think she got special treatment, so no matter what it is a lose/lose situation. When a regular joe gets a DUI and Child Endangerment charge it has a small chance of making it into thier hometown newspaper (maybe not even making it all depending upon the news that day)but Judge Scalia’s daughter made WorldWide headlines why? Because of who her father is…is that fair? How many americans have had similar situations? Is it fair that she is WorldWide news just because of who her dad is? I can see it happening if it was the Judge but I dont think it was fair to his daughter. If she did something great like saving a life would it have been WorldWide, No because Americans only like to hear the bad things that happen to famous people and thier families. She should be granted the same rights as the rest of us. She is not the public figure
