More Americans regard Bush as “Villian” than “Hero”
by Arlen Parsa

Associated Press teamed up with AOL (ugh, you know it can’t be that serious if AOL has anything to do with it) and Ipsos to conduct a poll asking Americans what public figures they must regarded as heros as villians.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, President Bush topped both categories. But what’s more interesting is that while he won the “hero” title with 13% of the vote, he won the “villian” title by a much greater percentage- 25%, topping out Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong Il, and even Satan (who got a measly 1%, so much for the evangelical vote that actually believes there is a being named Satan running around with horns somewhere below us).
Gallup has asked a similar year-end poll question for several years and President Bush also topped the “most admired man” category with 13%. This was the lowest he had gotten since they started asking this question in 2002 when he received 28% of the vote. Hilary Clinton topped the “most admired woman” category also with 13%. Gallup did not ask a “villian” question however.
Meanwhile, in real news, 2,996 Americans have died in Iraq…
