Geez, and Dick Cheney referred to waterboarding as a ‘dunk in the water’.
Yeah, pretty eggregious. Though Cheney would undoubtedly say he wasn’t referring to waterboarding, the State Department regards even a “dunk in the water” as a war crime. I’ll write more about this some other time…
