Last night, Pennsylvania Democrat Bob Casey defeated the third-most-powerful Republican in the US Senate: Rick Santorum.

Casey defeated Santorum (who bragged about voting with the President 98% of the time) by a resounding 18%. The final tally in the Pennsylvania Senate race was 59% to 41%. Santorum got only 10% of the African American vote, and both men and women sided with Casey by noticeable margins.

Santorum did not capture any single age group, with voters of all ages resoundingly siding with Casey, a soft-spoken Democrat who is Pennsylvania’s current State Treasurer.

While poor people voted chose the Democrat by huge margins, those in upper-income levels also sided with Casey by clear margins.

Rick Santorum, a powerful anti-women’s rights, anti-science radical Republican who once had dreams of running for President in 2008 just got booted out by the women and men of his own state, Pennsylvania.

We did it! Ladies and gentlemen, say goodbye to Rick Santorum!
