The Daily Background

Above is a photo of me doing my part to help end the disastrous Republican majority in the House of Representatives (New Hampshire doesn’t have a Senator up for re-election this year).

This is my first time voting, and I had to vote through absentee ballot because obviously I’m not going to be back home from college on November 7th. Sure, I could have just voted the “straight party line” option which would have counted as votes for all the Democrats on the ballot automatically, but it felt good to vote against all those awful Republicans one after another.

I’m super excited to cast this vote, and recent polls in my home Congressional district (NH-02, Charlie Bass-R vs Paul Hodes-D) show that the race is gonna probably be closer than previously thought, so my vote will hopefully actually count for something.
