The Daily Background

Last night I spent about 4 solid hours working on a new feature for the site. It’s not quite ready to be rolled out yet, but I just have to mention it since it’s gonna be so cool. It’s basically gonna embed 2006 House and Senate election predictions into every page of this website (I have not been covering Governor’s races and thus will not be predicting them… I would refer you to MyDD’s excellent gubernatorial forecast however if you’re interested).

It’ll be at the top of the page and collapsed by default but you’ll be able to uncollapse it and collapse it back to use as a handy reference guide to see how close Dems are to taking back the House and Senate on any given day. I expect to update it fairly often up until election night (at which point I may even post results there).

Anyways, so I’m pretty much stoked about this really cool and hopefully useful feature. Yeah. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. You can expect it to appear on the site within the next couple of days.
