The Daily Background

I just got advance word that the President is planning to come here to Chicago on Thursday and hold a fundraiser for conservative ultra-rich people at the Hilton Chicago (pictured right) which is like a two minute walk from my apartment. Apparently there’s going to be a protest of some sort.

I would attend the protest and take some pictures or something but unfortunately the event is scheduled at the exact wrong time for me- I have a class in the afternoon and I can’t very well skip it since I’m actually going to be shooting a short film during that day. I may try and rush it and send my cast and crew home early in hopes of getting some photos of the protest as the President leaves or something.

No promises, but if I end up attending and taking photos, I’ll be sure to post them on the site. I may also manage to switch the location of the film to the part of Grant Park across Michigan Ave which is directly across from the Hilton, so that’s another possibility.
