The Daily Background

I just want to clarify two things. Firstly, if you hear me referring to “the Post,” I am talking about the Washington Post– not the scummy rightward leaning tabloid “newspaper” known as the New York Post. Jusssst wanted to clear that up in case there was any doubt.

Secondly, a few posts were published earlier this week that referred to Dennis Hastert as the Majority Whip of the House– this was a silly error on my part. Hastert is of course the Speaker of the House, and Republican Roy Blunt is the Majority Whip. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
