The now well known hard-hitting VoteVets advertisement slamming Republican lawmakers about failing to vote for body armor for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan (which debuted running against Republican George Allen in Virginia, then Pennsylvania Republican Rick Santorum) will be running against Senator Conrad Burns in Montana, in favor of excellent progressive Democratic organic farmer Jon Tester.

Earlier in the week there was a stir about the accuracy of the advertisement, but that settled down after MediaMatters cleared up the confusion and concluded that it was accurate and that those who claimed it wasn’t were misleading and distorting facts in order to make their case. All three races which VoteVets have run the tv spot in are crucial for Demorats Senate hopes in November.
