$21.45 million. That’s roughly how much Kenneth ‘I love writing about oral sex almost as much as Bill O’Reilly does‘ Starr spent in the first three years of his eight-year politically-motivated investigation of whether or not former President Clinton cheated on his wife or not, and also the whole (entirely cooked up) Whietwater debackle. And after 71.5 million dollars of tax-payer’s money, nothing became of either of the investigations. I, and most other Americans I suspect, would consider that a major waste of tax money.

$333,000. That’s how much tax-payer’s money Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has spent in the CIA leak investigation so far, according to Fitzgerald’s spokesperson. Lewis Libby’s defense team has already spent at least twice that amount, and the trial hasn’t even formally started yet (January, baby).
