More Republicans call for corrupt Ney’s ouster
by Arlen Parsa
Even without the support of Repubican House Majority Leader John Boehner (who says that admittedly-corrupt and soon-to-be-pleaading Ney can stay), the call among Republicans for the tainted lawmaker to step down is growing. Associated Press reports that:
When reporters asked some GOP leaders Wednesday whether Ney should resign, House Rules Committee Chairman David Dreier, R-Calif., responded, “Absolutely.”
[…]
Ohio state Sen. Joy Padgett, who was hand-picked by Ney to run to replace him, called on the House to move as soon as possible to expel Ney from Congress if he doesn’t resign immediately. The House can expel a member with a two-thirds majority vote.
It should go to a vote, if that idiotic excuse for a Majority Leader is unwilling to put pressure on Ney to resign on his own. It is simply unacceptable to have the people of Ohio forced to be paying a corrupt bastard like Ney to represent them for the rest of the year.
