Evidently, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has applied for an American visa so he can visit the United States later this year.
The fiery leader plans to attend the U.N. General Assembly meetings in New York later this month. Official says that the application, which was submitted last month, is going through the normal processing procedure.

Because he is visiting for the U.N. meetings in late September, the application is being processed with the “U.N. Headquarters Agreement” in consideration, which allows for visits for government officials who want to visit the U.N. in New York.
This must be from the “if Mohammad Khatami can do it, so can I” department. Ahmadinejad visited the UN in New York last year as well, however tensions between the US and Iran were less exaggerated. It is believed that if Ahmadinejad gets a vissa, it will be a limited one with 25-mile travel radius around UN headquarters in NYC.
