The Daily Background

NBC Nightly News last night had a retrospective at the end of their program about which showed hurricane Katrina through the eyes of several of its journalists who were covering the disaster, one year ago. Some of it is rather tough footage to watch. Tougher still to know that this truly incompetent government wasn’t helping people effected by the storm as it should have been, and more than 1,800 Americans died as a result.
