Recently the Israeli military bombed a United Nations outpost, killing 4 unarmed UN observers. Do you think that the Israeli military simply made a mistake, considering the following known facts:

1. The Israeli military had been warned a dozen times about the location of the outpost
2. The Israeli military has bombed the UN before, killing 100 people, and never explained why they did it
3. The bombing of the UN outpost lasted 8 hours, and UN officials were telling the Israeli military to stop for the entire time
4. The outpost was clearly marked and had been well known in the area for more than 50 years
5. The Israeli military has offered no explanation for the bombing, saying it was a “mistake” (which apparently lasted 8 hours while they were being told to stop by the UN)
6. The Israeli miltary does not like the UN because it has condemned its military actions numerous times for violating international law, and human rights law such as the Geneva convention

Also to consider: should the White House be delivering more weapons to the Israeli military? And: is bombing a UN outpost an example of the Israel military “defending” itself?
