The Daily Background

I thought I’d mention a report that is making the rounds of alternative news organizations. The report claims that a Palestinian doctor, along with the Palestinian Ministry of Health have said that the Israelis have quietly been using an unfamiliar chemical weapon on civillians in Gaza. No major international or American news services have picked up the story, and the link I referred to appears to be the original source for the story (though as I said, it’s making the rounds).

I don’t know if Israel is using chemical weapons or not, and I don’t know if the Palestinian Ministry of Health has even made these claims. I advise taking that report with a huge grain of salt, and I’m not sure how much of it I believe myself. Although Israel has used chemical weapons against civillians in the past, I know of no evidence besides that report that suggests they are doing so currently or have done so since 2002-2003, and I’m wary of making accusations like this. We’ll see if more information about this claim surfaces, or if the story merely dies.
