An important site message from Arlen Parsa
by Arlen Parsa
The last couple of days have been particularly difficult on me. I will still be blogging, but I will not be blogging as much as I have been thus far. No more days with 10 or 11 posts.
This summer, I am very lucky to have an opportunity presented to me, and it is one I cannot turn down. As some of you might remember, I’m a college student majoring in documentary film. Over the summer, I’ve come back from Chicago, and am living in my hometown with my parents. I will be making a short-length documentary film over the next weeks and likely months.
This will be an invaluble learning experience for me, and I cannot convey how excited I truly am.
I want to thank everyone for their comments in the past, for their links to the site, and for the encouragement I’ve gotten. I’m not going anywhere.
I will still be blogging, and every day too. But the number of posts will not be the same. I feel confident that this will allow me to write longer and better posts about politics though. Plus, I’ll be writing in addition about my experiences working on this documentary film. When everything is all over, I’ll proboably post it online for anyone to watch, if I feel there’s any interest in it. I can’t wait to share more details about the film project (and I will in future postings– I’m being intentionally vague right now).
This film will be of a personal importance to me, but I hope it will turn out to be something interesting for other people to watch as well. I expect it will mostly be a learning experience for me right now.
So I’ll be blogging about politics (same old, same old), and my experiences as part of this project (new). If this sounds like stuff you might be interested in, please stick around. If not, then no hard feelings- and don’t forget to vote in November!
The Daily Background

Your new project sounds exciting. Sometimes blogging has to take a backseat when opportunity comes along. I’ll look forward to hearing more about the film.
