The Daily Background

So the President has chosen somebody to replace Treasury Secretary John Snow. I always thought treasury was a weird word. I don’t know much about the new guy, Henry Paulson, who is currently the CEO of Goldman Sachs (soon to be former CEO, I guess). Apparently he doesn’t hate the environment. Or something. For business purposes. Carpetbagger says that he was at first reluctant to take the job because he didn’t think Snow had much impact on policy at all, and didn’t want to end up in such a dead end useless job.
