Yes, thank you CNN for reviving this utterly disgusting non-story. Really, too bad that she disappeared but I don’t know of anyone worth knowing who isn’t tired of this missing white woman story (does anybody think this would have gotten even a 9th as much press coverage as it does, if she was poor and black? if you answered yes, then explain why we don’t see hundreds of stories about the still-missing Hurricane Katrina refugees). Of course it doesn’t help that her mother is a publicity whore and goes on Geraldo At Large and pimps her book out. What transparent distractionism.

I wonder if rightie bloggers hate this story as much as I do? Or maybe they’re just happy for the distraction because their own party isn’t the horror story of the hour.
