New logo for the site!
by Arlen Parsa
Well, it’s springtime, and I thought I might as well get a new logo (okay it’s technically a header image, but I’m just gonna call it logo). This is roughly (barring a few cosmetic changes to previous logos) the third logo that The Daily Background has had in its lifetime, which began in early December of 2005. The first logo was an black and white overhead view of New York City taken in the mid 20th century. The second logo was a black and white photo of Tiananmen Square ‘tank man.’ The third logo (the current logo) is a sepia photograph taken in 1905, and Wikipedia describes it as such:
Miners pose with lunch pails in hand on a mine rock pile outside of the Tamarack mineshaft. This mine was one of the most productive mines in Copper Country
Yeah, I have a thing for weird old photos, as you might have guessed already. You can view the un-cropped full photo over at Wikipedia.
Any thoughts on the new logo? Like it? Don’t like it? Better than the last one? Worse? Same? Suggestion for a future logo photo? Feedback appreciated, as always.
The Daily Background

I like it. These guys look like they’re sick of whatever BS they’re used to hearing. That seems appropriate for this site. Good choice.
it’s a bit bleak
It’s a little dark but I agree with James completely appropriate. I located your blog because of my discontent with AT&T.
It’s kind of dark and hard to see the title of you site. I do have to agree with the other folks assesment on the miners having had enough crap though.
I’d like to link your site to mine if you don’t mind. We seem to follow the same line of thoughts.
