The Daily Background

Am I the only one who finds the idea that a John Kerry is still defending his service record, almost two years after he was first wrongly attacked- really depressing? If nothing else, it’s a testament to the power and lasting effects of the right-wing noise machine. I feel genuinely sorry for him (even though he should have done more to rebut allegations when he was first attacked). By the way, if anybody needs to be defending his service record, it should be the President.
