Hillarious video- BBC messes up and interviews the wrong person live
by Arlen Parsa
Oh man, this is pretty hillarious. Here’s what happened. As you might know, a few weeks ago, Apple Computer was sued by Apple Corps (which is the Beatles old record company). Apple Corps has sued Apple Computer a bunch of times to try and get money out of it, alleging that the California-based computer company profits off of brand confusion. Each time they sue, Apple has either settled with Apple out of court, or a judge throws the lawsuit out as being frivolous.
In any case, when a verdict was announced, BBC News was interviewing somebody who they thought was an expert on live television . Only he wasn’t an expert. They actually got confused and put some poor guy who had really just showed up for a job interview on live tv, and interviewed him about the court verdict (which was in Apple Computer’s favor). It’s pretty hillarious, you can see the look of shock on the poor guy’s face when they call him the editor of some magaizine. He tries his best to bluff is way through it, and to his credit, sort of does a good job. It’s still funny though. BBC has an article admitting their mistake here. No word on whether the guy was eventually hired or not.
