After a second denail from the DoJ, and a lawsuit threat from Hastert’s lawyers (Raw has their letter), ABC’s Brian Ross is still sticking to his story, and ABC is still standing behind him. ThinkProgress has a video of Ross defending his story on ABC’s Good Morning America earlier today, and he was also on ABC World News Tonight (I’ll update if video becomes available).

Ross said that his sources have confirmed the story as true, and said that ABC reported correctly, even though the higher-ups are denying it to the press. House Republicans used speaking time on the floor today to attack ABC News for the story.

In addition, the Center for Responsive Poltiics has found that Hastert was the “No.1 individual recipient of money from Abramoff and his clients.” I’ll have more as this story develops, and more details emerge.
