Evidently the vast majority of big oil lobbyist money goes to Republicans. Hardly a surprise. This has always been the case, even when Republicans are in the minority in Congress. The Center for Responsive Politics has found that one Texas Republican has recieved more than $159,611 from big oil. Well, what do you expect from a party whose President who once said “There’s no such thing as being too closely aligned with the oil industry”?
